Base exercise incident creates a big splash
Members of the 172d Airlift Wing's Fire Department Engine No. 6 crash team discuss strategy during the incident command response exercise. An incident command response exercise for the 172d Airlift Wing took place on August 4, 2015. The 172d AW Security Forces immediately responded to the exercise scenario that involved a vehicle losing control at the main gate. The out of control vehicle splashed into the pond and a passenger was trapped. Security Forces alerted the base fire department and crash teams arrived to carry out rescue operations as an incident command post was established.
