First-term airmen spring forward at retreat.
A group of Miss. Air National Guardsmen receive instruction at Camp Shelby's Air to Ground Range control tower during the first-term Airmen retreat that took place on 6 April 2013. The goal of the retreat was to give the junior Airmen the opportuity to see additional MSANG assets performing their mission and to allow them to gain career insight from senior enlisted personnel.

Turning a lemon into lemonade
After just purchasing their new auto, the Medley family stands with key personnel who helped them through a very difficult time with their vehicle following the deployment of Master Sgt. Terry Medley. The Medleys were able to purchase the vehicle from Sellers Chevy in Purvis, Miss. Included in the photo (from left to right) is the owner of the dealership, Brig Gen. (Ret) Johnny Sellers, David Medley, Songmi Medley, Ashley Medley, Kathie Ladner, MSANG CRTC Commander, Col John Ladner and 172d AW Senior Master Sgt. John Myers.

Deployed 172d AW members say, "Who let the Dogs Out?"
SRA Joe Pulliam and SRA Matt Davis (on the right) are Aerial Porter's and their primary responsibility is onload/off-load of all aircraft cargo - to include assisting with Human Remains and AE patient loading. These guys were both singled out by the IG during our 2012 ORI as outstanding performers and have already been recognized by their deployed location leadership for the same.

Mississippi was the first!
The Mississippi Air National Guard's 172d Airlift Wing carries out it's gobal airlift mission with the tremendous work provided by its award-winning Airmen and its fleet of nine C-17 Globemaster Aircraft. When the wing first received this large cargo aircraft in 2004, Mississippi became the first state to have one of it's National Guard units acquire this cargo aircraft.

Dr. Suzanne Jourdan is the 172d AW Director of Psychological Health. She is a licensed Psychologist with more than 25 years of clinical and management experience. She is available for:
- consultation to leadership/supervisors on psychological health issues
- confidential assessment and referral
- education and briefings (i.e. resiliency, suicide prevention, stress management, relationship building, change management)
- deployment support
- crisis/disaster response intervention
